Karl Kuhn practices in the areas of business planning and transactions, estate planning, and real estate transactions. He works with businesses and business owners in entity selection, formation, and operations (corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and partnerships), mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, private placements, commercial transactions, reorganizations, liquidations, corporate governance, and other general corporate matters. Karl also assists business owners and other individuals address their estate planning needs with trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.

Karl Kuhn started his legal career as an associate at Bingham McCutchen’s Los Angeles office for five years practicing primarily in the areas of corporate and private equity transactions, securities, finance, and insolvency. Karl was then an associate at Theodora Oringher Miller & Richman’s Los Angeles Office where he worked with health care and technology companies on their corporate and securities transactions and corporate governance matters. Prior to joining Sage Law Partners, Karl was a partner at Robertson & Olsen, LLP for nearly eight years where he counseled companies, venture capital funds, and individuals in various business transactions for clients in the restaurant, hospitality, skincare, technology, health care, and retail industries. Karl continues to provide these services to the clients of Sage Law Partners.

Karl graduated from Syracuse University, College of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Syracuse Law and Technology Journal. During law school, Karl interned for the New York State Science and Technology Law Center where he worked with technology driven organizations, including Welch Allyn and the Licensing Executives Society. Karl also externed for the Honorable Frederick J. Scullin, Jr., U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York.
